Tracey, my video King

I hafta say that the more I see Tracey's videos the more I am absolutely in love with his work.

This video is one that he produced for my awesome photographer neighbor. These two make a great team if anyone is ever in the market for a photog / videographer combo!

Enjoy!

Lovin' my Daffodills

I have to say that I love this time of year. I love when my yard is bursting with yellow flowers. I love that there are so many different varities of daffodils growing in my yard.

Sort of makes you appreciate God and all of his handiwork here on Earth, doesn't it?

FIELD TRIP!

I'm so lucky! I got to go on a field trip last Saturday with my little peanut Tess. The field trip was the first "on location" photo shoot with my photography class group. It was a tad bit windy and a whole lotta cold for my little lady, but I still love the shots that I got. It's so liberating to finally feel 100% comfortable shooting in full manual, which every last one of these photos were!

Jennifer Eliason, my awesome teacher, is already taking sign ups for the next round of classes. Here is her information if any of you locals are interested in one crazy good time!

I *Heart* Photography Workshop

All I know is I can't wait to get back to this location to take photos of my big girls!

Enjoy!

Rainy days and Thursdays always....

are interesting with 2 boys in the house!

I didn't realize that I had dressed the boys both in yellow shirts until they were sitting on my kitchen table with some of the daffodils from our yard. How could I pass up this perfect opportunity to take some sunny photos on a dreary day.

I swiped Tracey's camera cause, well, it rocks. My camera is dog doo compared to his, plus I haven't really had a chance to mess around with the 85mm.

I'm taking a class from an awesome neighbor and fabulously fun teacher and I finally feel comfortable shooting in full manual. I rarely shoot in auto, but mostly have relied on AV or TV. These photos are all fully manual (except for one or two of Aaron by himself...was just trying to compare what settings auto would give me). I know I need to work on the focus issues, but it gets a little tricky when not using a flash or tripod and there isn't much light since it's puring rain outside. A 1.8 is where I had to shoot to keep my shutter speed at 1/60, not really allowing a full range of focus. (JEN! JEN! Are you proud of me? Am I getting it?)

BTW - Jen is having an awesome giveaway to announce her new photography blog! Be sure to check it out and leave a comment for your chance to win some itunes!

My Mamarazzi Life. (How cute is that!)

Anyhow, here you have it. Some sunny photos on a dreary day!
